A dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) consists of TiO2/FTO double layer in a working electrode. We found that FTO layer showed a self-heating under a microwave irradiation and that the phenomena is acceptable in depositing a porous TiO2 layer on FTO in producing a working electrode for DSSC. By employing this heating technique, a necking between TiO2 particles is supposed to be enhanced to reduce an internal resistance in the cell, which leads to a higher photovoltaic performance in DSSC. We are discussing a "microwave effect" in depositing TiO2 layer in this presentation.
