We are developing a portable small sensor that can detect bacteria quickly without culturing. Both the intensity of fluorescence spectrum and the photocurrent of fluorescence sensor for Legionella dumoffii showed the photolysis process of the fluorescent material from the viewpoint of chemical reactions. This indicates that our made sensor is able to detect the weak fluorescence from Legionella.
