In this work, we developed three types of dibenzofuran-containing electron-transporting host materials for highly efficient deep red phosphorescent OLEDs. For a deep red phosphorescent emitter, we used (DPQ)2Ir(dpm). These dibenzofuran derivatives can form an exciplex with NPD, and used as host materials. An optimized OLED showed a high external quantum effciency of over 16% with a very low turn-on voltage of 2.4 V. These performances are among the best in the state-of-the-art deep red OLEDs.
