We have demonstrated and evaluated dose distributions, nuclear tracks and micrometer-scale patterns in radiophotoluminescent Ag-activated phosphate glass written by 1.7 or 3 MeV focused proton beams. The observation and evaluation were carried out using a multi-photon confocal laser microscope combined with femtosecond (fs) laser pulses generated by a mode-locked Ti:sapphire laser operating at 700 nm.
