[17p-419-6] Structural Analysis of LiMPO₄ (M=Fe, Co) under high pressure

LiFePO₄ is in practical use as a cathode material of lithium ion secondary battery, which exhibits 3.4 V (v.s. Li) and 160 mAh/g. We have measured synchrotron x-ray diffraction data of LiFePO₄ and LiCoPO₄ under high pressure (P) up to 1.5 GPa at SPring-8 BL10XU to elucidate unknown crystal structures at high pressures.
