In this work, we will report about the effect of different Ce3+ ion distribution in Ce3+:LiCaAlF6 single crystal on lasing properties. By measuring the multi-photon luminescence, we found that luminescence intensity distribution differs depending on areas within the crystal. From the result of LA-ICPMS, we confirmed that this difference relates to the heterogeneity of Ce. We also investigated the lasing properties at three areas with different Ce3+ ion distribution, measured by multi-photon microscope. From the result, highest slope efficiency and lowest lasing threshold were obtained from the area with uniform Ce3+ ion distribution.
