A novel perimeter energy system which had photovoltaic and thermal saving functional effects was developed by transparent organic photovoltaics sheets. Heat transmittion coefficient and solar heat gain coefficient are comparable with a conventional thermal absorbing glass. This perimeter energy system was demonstrated in a typical building.
