[18p-PA3-9] Investigation of internal damage detection method for cantilever using SAW sensor

We have proposed a new health monitoring sensor that combines a surface acoustic wave (SAW) device and a pressure sensor . The advantages of this sensor are that the sensor unit can operate without power, can be measured wirelessly, is compact, and is inexpensive. In this research, vibration measurement of cantilever (PET resin plate) was performed using 13.5 MHz SAW sensor. Moreover, the change of the vibration by the position of the hole which simulated damage was analyzed using the finite element method (Femtet), and the experimental value and the theoretical value were compared.
