In recent years, the power generation efficiency of the solar cell have been improved by the addition of the wavelength conversion materials. We have developed the synthetic methods of ZnSe/ZnS:Mn/ZnS core/shell/shell nanoparticles. These nanoparticles have potential as a wavelength conversion material because ZnSe absorbs light in UV region and exhibits orange emission as a result of the d-d transition in the emission center of Mn2+. In this study, these nanoparticles were applied for photovoltaic cell. It was observed power generation major improvement.
