[19p-PA6-5] Development of high sensitivity Shell-isolated anisotropic nanoparticle-enhanced Raman spectroscopy
Keywords:Raman spectroscopy, gold nanoparticle, FDTD method
A shell-isolated nanoparticle-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SHINERS), where Au nano-optical amplifiers are coated with silica shell to prevent direct contact with samples, can provide a direct fingerprint information of the nano-scale materials without any interaction from amplifiers. The signal enhancement characteristics in SHINERS method are highly dependent on the shape of the gold nano-amplifiers. In this study, we aimed at improving the sensitivity and accuracy of the SHINERS measurement by changing the shape of optical amplifier into star-like gold nano-particle and confeito-like one. In this presentation, the development of the SHINERS measurement, as well as the sensitivity of SHINERS measurement at a single molecular level, will be reported. We discuss correlation between the shape of nanoparticles and enhancement factor both in experimental and theoretical approach.
