In order to develop low-cost REBCO wires, we have been studying a novel structure of REBCO / conductive oxide / Ni / Cu / SUS316. In this wire structure, when the superconductivity disappears at some region in the REBCO layer, the current flowing in the REBCO layer can bypass to the Cu tape, so it can be expected that the Cu tape can work as a stabilization layer as well as the biaxial crystal orientation template. In this study, we investigated the characteristics of La-doped SrTiO3 as a new candidate material for the conductive buffer layer.
