To develop low-cost RE-based coated conductors, conductive buffer layers have been investigated. In this study, YBCO coated conductors were fabricated using conductive La-doped SrTiO3 (La-STO) as a conducive buffer layer. The diffusion of oxygen and metal elements in the La-STO layer was investigated by microstructure analysis using a transmission electron microscopy.
