We prepared Bi,Ga:Nd3Fe5O12 films on single crystal GGG substrates by means of an excimer-laser assisted metal-organic deposition process. We confirmed that the garnet epitaxial phase was formed by irradiating of the laser on the precursor film, and the obtained film had a Faraday effect in visible-light region. The laser fluence and the substrate temperature under the laser irradiation affected the chemical composition and the surface morphology of the film. The film with smooth surface and homogeneous chemical composition was obtained by the laser irradiation of lower fluence under the substrate heating.
