We introduce a structure of NRD (non-radiative waveguide) type terahertz phase shifter using liquid crystal / aligned nanofiber composite. The characteristics such as phase shift, rise time and decay time are discussed. Compared to the phase shifter using pure liquid crystal, the decay time of the phase shifter using liquid crystal / aligned nanofiber composite is drastically reduced to 140 ms.
