[10a-PA1-3] A design of optical phase wave lights for 3 bits digital data recording and reading on a phase multi-level holography memory

Toshiyuki Kaeriyama

Keywords:holography memory, micromirror, optical phase modulator

0,1 data states is expressed by a pair of light waves that are phase advanced one and phase delayed one. Employing 3 pairs of light waves, 3 bits data is written in form of interference pattern in same volume(address) of media. Data light is produced by irradiating reference light to the pattern, and by adding reading light to the data light, phase information of the data light is converted to amplitude information in final synthesized light. Then, written data is identified by detected intensity of the synthesized light.
