[10p-PB2-4] Improvement of Dynamic Range by Polarization Filtering for Electro-optic Sampling of Terahertz Wave

We have been proposed a method for improving the sensitivity of electro-optic sampling (EOS) by polarization filtering and succeeded to enhance the sensitivity by applying to the heterodyne EOS so far. However, the dynamic range did not improve in proportion to the obtained sensitivity enhancement. The investigation of the main noise source in heterodyne EOS revealed that the noise of the laser source is dominant. Then, we succeeded in improving the dynamic range of one order or more of magnitude by a countermeasure against noise to the laser source.
