Keywords:superconductivity, joining

In the case of power transmission using a superconducting cable, it is necessary to join the wires to each other with low resistance and to cope with power transmission over a long distance. It seems that the current density distribution and the magnetic field distribution different from ordinary superconducting wire material appear by joining. In this research, in order to clarify the electrical and mechanical properties at the junction of the superconducting wire, we simulated the junction using the finite element method, and evaluated electrical and mechanical characteristics in the superconducting junction.
