[10p-W833-12] Optical absorption spectra of copper sulfide dendrites

Tamihiro Gotoh1, Ryotaro Nishikawa1 (1.Gunma Univ.)

Keywords:copper sulfide, dendritic structure, photothermal spectroscopy

A self-similar structure (fractal) appears in copper sulfide dendrites produced by sulfur gas heat treatment of a copper sheet, and a new function can be expected to be developed. Therefore, in this study, optical absorption spectra of dendritic copper sulfide are investigated by photothermal spectroscopy and its characteristics are discussed. Optical absorption due to band edge near 1.2 eV and gap states less than 1.2 eV was observed.
