Semi-shell is a structure in which a part of dielectric microspheres is covered with metal thin film. Recently, we have found that the plasmon resonance wavelength can be tuned by deforming the shell structure by light irradiation. In this study, in order to clarify the mechanism of photothermal deformation, we have investigated deformation characteristics in various semi-shell structures.
