We present the analysis of thermal conduction of the Quantum Cascade Lasers (QCLs) using polycrystalline diamond materials as submounts. The submounts contribute to the thermal spread and the reduction of device temperature rising in our thermal simulations. The results of current-light output evaluation shows that the diamond submounts are effective to elevate the output power of the QCLs.
