For IoT terminals which consists of many sensors and beacons, wiring and using battery are ineffective power supplying methods, which will cost excessive labor and money. Optical wireless power transmission technology, which has advantages like long distance transmission and good directionality, is still at its initial stage. In this research, LED-based optical wireless power transmission system that realized large electricity power supply amount remotely for compact IoT terminals is designed and demonstrated. 204.8 mW output power from long distance of 100 cm is confirmed by design of lens system for 1.7×1.7 cm2 size receiving GaAs solar cell. Over 65% optic system efficiency is confirmed for 2.1×2.3 cm2 irradiation size. Total 5.8% power feeding efficiency is confirmed.
