[12a-PB1-8] Measurement of Reactive Oxygen Radicals with Polyvinyl Alcohol - Potassium Iodine
Keywords:polyvinylalcohol, reactive oxygen radical
Polyvinylalcohol-Potassium Iodine(PVA-KI) has recently been proposed to be used as a chemical dosemeter of X-ray or high energy proton beam. It is reported that sensitivity, production procedure, and cost of PVA-KI are better than Iodine-starch reaction. In this work, we start basic research to use PVA-KI as a chemical probe for reactive oxygen radicals. Although the mechanism of PVA-KI changing color has already reported in 1960s, effects of addional materials of pH environment are still an open question. In the meeting, we will report initial results of absorbance spectra.
