Keywords:scintillation detector, radiation imaging detector, spatial resolution

We developed radiation imaging detectors using various scintillators and evaluated the spatial resolution and pulse shape discrimination capability to separate the images of types of radiations. We used YAP, LaGPS, and GAGG for the imaging detectors. Each 0.5 mm thick scintillator plate was optically coupled to a position sensitive photomultiplier tube (PSPMT) to form a radiation imaging detector. Position was calculated by the Anger principle and pulse shape spectra were derived from the dual integration method. We could successfully develop high resolution imaging detectors or those with pulse shape discrimination capability of different types of radiations.
