[9a-S421-10] Development of a thin and lightweight Organic CO2 sensor using PEDOT: PSS
Keywords:PEDOT:PSS, carbon dioxide, sensitive film
To develop a thin and light CO2sensor that can be used at low cost in the field environment, we fabricated a sensor chip with two electrodes equipped a CO2 sensitive film composed of PEDOT:PSS and a polymer/Cu-chelating reagent that was laminated on the electrodes on a plastic substrate by coating technique, and then response performance to CO2was evaluated. As a result, the concentration of CO2 could be monitored by the change in the resistance value between the two electrodes accordingly. The result suggests that Cu2+was generated in the sensitive film by adsorption of CO2 in the reaction process and then layer separation of PEDOT and PSS was promoted, resulting in the resistance value changes.
