Simple detection of DNA and RNA including microRNA, which is attracting attention as a biomarker for cancer diagnosis in recent years, is desired because it can be used for point-of-care at home. To fabricate the system for simple detection of DNA and RNA with non-labeling and an electrochemical device used widely, in this study, we examined the condition to detect anion charges inherent in DNAs by a general potentiometric method instead of detection of fluorescent labels and electron mediators, resulting in success of detection of one base-mismatch in a DNA sequence.
