We report on development of biorecognition solid-state nanopores for selective detections of viruses. We fabricated Au nanopores on an ultrathin Si3N4 membrane using MEMS technology. On the Au surface, we chemically adhered peptide molecules having relatively high affinity to haemagulutinin on influenza virions. We found that the resistive pulse width tend to be longer as we used peptide probes having higher affinity to the viral surface proteins, which facilitated influenza discrimination under machine learning pattern analyses.
