We tried to form periodic nanostructures on titanium plate surface with the polymer adhered by femtosecond laser irradiation. At this time, FEP, PLA, PS, and PMMA were used as polymers having different dielectric constants. Under the atmosphere, periodic nanostructures with a period of 630 nm was formed on the titanium surface. On the other hand, when FEP, PLA, PS, and PMMA were brought into close contact, the periods were 506, 437, 432, and 410 nm. In conclusion, it was found that the period depends on the dielectric constant of the surface.
