Li1-xNbO2, in which Li+ ions are deintercalated from the layered oxide LiNbO2, exhibits hole-doped superconductivity. For epitaxial thin films, two-dimensional electronic structure and high transparency in visible light region have been revealed. The triangular NbO6 unit has a 2H-type structure, and no other oxides are known to have this structure. In this study, we investigated topochemical reactions in various types of solutions to develop new structures and properties by complete deintercalation of Li+ ions and ion exchange.
