Keywords:non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy

Since Raman scattered light is extremely weak, it poses a major problem in elucidating the pathological mechanism of NAFLD and realizing a practical diagnostic method. Therefore, in this study, high-sensitivity Raman imaging of the NAFLD model was performed by applying SERS spectroscopy using the light-enhancing effect of the plasmon phenomenon of metal nanoparticles. As a result, signal light enhancement of 10 times or more can be obtained, which may lead to elucidation of the pathological mechanism of NAFLD and development of a practical diagnostic method.
