[17p-Z32-6] Magnetostriction of Fe-Ga prismatic single crystals by vertical Bridgman method

We have developed a manufacturing process of Fe-Ga magnetostrictive alloys which were available for materials of vibration power generators, from single crystal growth using a vertical Bridgman (VB) method to thin-plate processing. We have incorporated the square prismatic crystal growth process using shape control characteristics of vertical Bridgman method with the aim of low processing loss. In order to remove oxides from the wire cut surface and change the thickness after cutting, a surface grinding process using a surface grinding machine was added and the magnetostrictive characteristics were investigated.
