Ultrafast response observed in a GaAs/AlAs multiple quantum well was evaluated by a double-pulse pump-probe technique at room temperature. The response did not show the so-called pattern effects. Therefore, we considered that the ultrafast response can be applied to the ultrafast optical devices.
