[22p-P04-8] Prediction of placement patterns based on diffusion equations for randomly generated metallic nanoparticles
Keywords:metal nanostructures, plasmonics
Although it is possible to fabricate metal nanostructures with periodic and well-shaped plasmon resonance by using electron beam lithography and other techniques, they are often not put to practical use because they are costly and time-consuming and are not suitable for mass production. Therefore, our research group has adopted a method of fabricating nanostructures by heat-treating thin metal films in order to fabricate metallic nanostructures over a large area at low cost. However, the technical tradeoff is that nanostructures are randomly generated, and it is difficult to predict their arrangement patterns. In this study, a simulation code based on the diffusion equation was created to predict and control the pattern formation of random nanoparticles.
