[22a-D215-3] Design of angle insensitive guided-mode-resonance bandpass filter

A waveguide mode resonance filter is configured by integrating a sub-wavelength grating on a transparent substrate and depends on the angle of incident light (incident angle, rotation angle, polarization angle). In this study, we proposed and examined a two-dimensional structure with a doubly periodic grating with 90° rotational symmetry as an angle-insensitive narrow bandpass filter. When the incident angle was within 3°, the transmittance of the design wavelength is 95% or more and FWHM of 9 nm independent of rotation angle and polarization angle by rigorous coupled-wave analysis.
