[22a-E301-2] Preparation and Photoluminescence Properties of Multinary Quantum Dots

We prepared multinary quantum dots (QDs) of group I-III-VI semiconductors with a size of several nm by the thermal decomposition of precursors in hot organic solutions. The obtained QDs emitted strong PL, the peak wavelength of which was blue-shifted with an increase in the Eg of QDs. Deep defect levels in QDs were removed by precisely tuning the chemical composition of QDs, resulting in the emergence of narrow band-edge emission. Since this feature is not observed in conventional Cd-based binary QDs, we will develop novel light-emitting devices using multinary semiconductor QDs.
