In manned space exploration, portable gas chromatograph (GC) is useful to monitor the atmospheric environment inside the spacecraft. In this study, a portable ball surface acoustic wave (SAW) GC was fabricated using a ball SAW sensor featuring multiple roundtrip of SAW on a spherical element to analyze multiple hazardous gases in space, and its detection limit was evaluated.
