Group IV color centers in diamond are a promising candidate for all-optical nanoscale thermometry in living cells. Recently, we reported the temperature sensing based on silicon-vacancy (SiV) centers in detonation nanodiamonds. Now, we focused on germanium-vacancy (GeV) centers in detonation nanodiamonds. The peak wavelength of GeV centers is more than 100 nm shorter than that of SiV centers, so group IV color centers such as GeV and SiV are suitable for multicolor imaging probe in living cells. In the current study, we investigated the temperature dependence of the fluorescence spectra of GeV centers in detonation nanodiamonds.
