We have developed a non-destructive and simple method to check the inner diameter and internal condition of a pipette by measuring the pressures at the inlet and outlet sides of the pipette by introducing argon gas from the pipette tip. In this study, we solved the problem of usage of the adhesive by attaching the pipette with a Wilson seal, and measured the pressure at each equilibrium state by automating the gas introduction with a flow controller. As previously reported, a quadratic relationship was obtained, and it was also suggested that the relationship became linear when the inner diameter became less than 1 µm.
