[15p-D511-1] [The 1st Diversity & Inclusion Awards Outstanding Female Researchers Award Speech] Elucidation of the crystal growth mechanism of organic crystals and biominerals for the development of crystal growth technology

Mihoko Maruyama1,2 (1.Osaka Univ., 2.Kyoto Pref. Univ.)

Keywords:crystal growth, biominerals, organic crystals

In this presentation, I will introduce the development of crystal growth control technology for protein crystals and organic low-molecular-weight compounds, and research to clarify the crystal growth mechanism of biominerals (kidney stones, bones, etc.). Encounters with my mentors and collaborators accelerated my research and enabled me to expand into new fields. Without mutual understanding and encouragement from them, I could not achieve my research. I would like to talk about my research results, including the recent twists and turns.
