[16p-A307-8] Selective synthesis of nanomaterials using local laser heating

Hideki Fujiwara1 (1.Hokkai-Gakuen Univ.)

Keywords:hydrothermal synthesis, local laser heating, plasmon

Local heating by laser irradiation can selectively synthesize nanomaterials at arbitrary positions on metals and/or semiconductors due to the usability of the laser. In this study, we present the results of a novel hybrid device fabrication method (plasmon-assisted hydrothermal synthesis) that selectively synthesizes semiconductor nanomaterials within gold nanostructures by designing structures that take into account not only the distribution of electric field intensity but also thermal distribution within the gold nanostructures.
