A microwave amplifier using two superconducting SIS mixers is expected as a compact, low-noise and low-power amplifier. A millimeter-wave local oscillator is required for this amplifier, so we started to study a resonator-coupled Josephson array oscillator as a compact, low-power millimeter-wave oscillator. In this research, we devised a new resonator-coupled oscillator structure in which the MSL resonator that constitutes the oscillator is divided into half-wavelengths and the individual resonators are connected by lumped-element electrodes, and we evaluated its characteristics. We observed the Josephson oscillation output at 108 GHz, which was almost same to the design frequency of 100 GHz, and estimated the oscillation output to be 0.4 μW.
