[17p-A410-3] Optics for AR/VR glasses

Hiroshi Yoshikawa1 (1.Nihon Univ.)

Keywords:HMD, AR/VR glasses

A goggle-type display called a head-mounted display (HMD) is often used in the Metaverse. Lenses are used to magnify the image of a small display to a distance of about 2 meters. This optical system is the same as the stereoscope popular in the 19th century. In addition, the optical system of AR glasses that displays virtual objects in the real world is almost the same as that of HMD, but it is devised so that it can be superimposed on the real world.
