Utilization of VR technology and CG animation for Construction Management
The project site is located within Tokyo Gaikaku Ring Road, which is approximately 16km from Kanetsu to Toumei. The construction is to build a tunnel using the largest shield method in Japan. The tunnel extends about 7km from Oizumi Junction to Inokashira street. Excavated soil is going to be conveied out from the site using belt conveyer build on top of existing main highway . By utilizing BIM/CIM and informatization construction, the project is aiming to ensure quality and safty as well as to improve productivity. The article will present cases of VR technology and CG animation for construction management from the project.
