[I-412] Retrofit Effect of Steel Main Girder Focusing on Bolt Arrangement
Keywords:Redecking, Composite Steel Girder, Non-Composite Steel Girder, Patch Plate, High Strength Bolt, FE Analysis
In order to redecking the RC deck of steel main girder bridge, retrofit of steel main girder is needed due to the construction condition and increase of deck weight. In general, steel main girder is retrofitted by patching the steel plate to the web by high strength bolt. However, retrofit effect of patch steel elongation and arrangement of bolt is not clarified. Authors are investigated the retrofit effect for varying elongation of patch plate and bolt pitch by using FE analysis. Based on the results, it is known that patch steel needs to be arranged continually and, the neutral axis of the retrofitted steel main girder does not severe change even though arranging bolt pitch wider than designated in JSHB.
