[II-24] Efficacy of environmental DNA metabarcoding analysis of riverbed sediment

We conducted environmental DNA metabarcoding analysis of surface water and riverbed sediment using a set of fish universal PCR primers (MiFish). As a result, comparable or more fish species were detected from the sediment samples compared to the water samples. Complementary use of surface water and sediment data would provide a more comprehensive understanding of the fish fauna in the study basin.
