本研究は、セリグマンが提唱しているPERMAとういうWell-beingのモデルの因果関係を構築し、技術者の利他性の意識の違いがどのように影響しているかを質問紙調査で検証した。 結果、利他性の高低によって「目的意識」→「人間関係」の因果関係に違いがあることが明らかになった。
