To whom it may concern
We would like to thank you for your continued support of the activities of the Japanese Society of Engineering Education and the Kanto Society for Engineering Education.
We have been preparing to hold the 70th Annual Conference and Lecture Meeting in a hybrid format at the College of Science and Engineering, Nihon University. Thank you very much for your participation, abstract registration, chairpersons, vice chairpersons, and participation in special lectures and other conference events.
Due to the recent spread of the seventh wave of the novel coronavirus and its impact on public transportation, we have reconsidered the format of the Conference with the chairpersons of the relevant committees. As a result, we regret to inform you that we have decided to abandon the hybrid format that we had originally planned, and to change to a format in which only some of the conference events will be broadcast from the venue.
As a result, all lectures in the Engineering Education Research Lectures and International Sessions will be given online. No speakers will be allowed to speak at the venue. The same applies to the Educational Power Improvement Session.
The following events will be held in Room S101 of La SCHOLA, Surugadai Campus, College of Science and Engineering, Nihon University, and will be streamed in real time (arrangements will be made with the lecturers and other attendees). Please understand that you will not be able to attend these events at the venue.
- September 7: Opening Ceremony, Award Ceremony, Plenary Lecture I, Award Lecture
- September 8: Plenary Lecture II, Special Event: Dean Meeting
- September 9: Symposium, Closing Ceremony
It is regrettable that we will not be able to have realistic exchanges among members, which is the main purpose of the conference, from the 68th conference (planned at Hokkaido University), but we will continue to make preparations for a useful exchange of opinions online.
Thank you for your continued cooperation.
