Women's talent is expected to play an active role in the fields of engineering. Ochanomizu University, which has been a leader in women's education, is now planning to establish a new "Faculty of Interdisciplinary Engineering". This paper outlines and discusses the Interdisciplinary Engineering concept in relation to the required women's engineering education.
