We are now entering a stage where the creation of a safer, cheaper, and more stable living environment for long stay, large-scale populations in space is required. In this case, the production of food in space is key to future space development. the cricket is attracting attention as an environmentally-friendly protein source on Earth today, and may soon become an important species supporting the future dawn of an entomological livestock industry in space.
