[S30] Educating pharmacists to cope with the new medical care in the age of With-Corona

With the FY2021 supplementary budget, DX equipment for digital medical education and simulators to enhance the ability of students in clinical practice have begun to be installed and utilized in universities (medical, dental, pharmaceutical, and healthcare-related faculties) nationwide. In this symposium, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) and the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW) will present the purpose, current status, and ripple effects of this project. In addition, the two universities' faculties of pharmacy will introduce their efforts in the development and utilization of these devices and their future development. Furthermore, we would like to discuss the effects of this project on the uneven distribution of pharmacists and quality assurance, since this project has led to the development and implementation of an educational plan that enables students to acquire abilities that could not be acquired through conventional face-to-face training, etc.
