Clinical chemistry is a research field that aims to contribute to the elucidation of pathophysiology and treatment / prevention of various diseases. In addition, it was applied for the practice of providing laboratory tests based on analytical technology to medical care. In the field of pharmaceutical care, personalized medicine based on therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM), genome analysis information, and therapeutic biomarkers searching using mass spectrometry have been investigated recently. And so, the latest knowledge and concepts of clinical chemistry based on clinical and analytical tests are becoming indispensable.
This symposium is co-sponsored by the Japan Society for Clinical Chemistry with the aim of contributing to the medical field about clinical chemistry. In this session, we would like to introduce and discuss the latest findings and topics under the theme of "diversity of clinical and analytical chemistry” which is indispensable for the practice of effective drug treatment and the fusion of clinical chemistry and pharmaceutical sciences.
